The sock monster

Over the last month or so, Lola's developed a thing for socks, especially small socks on little feet. It seems like anytime Niko is on the floor playing with toys, rolling over or playing in his jumperoo, she finds a way to sneak in and get a sock. This is followed by me finding Niko with one bare foot, and then chasing Lola around the dining room table to get the sock, and then repeating this again 5 minutes later. Yesterday, I caught her in the act while he was in the jumperoo. Notice how first she eyes it and then she moves in to pull it off quick--she's perfected this so that she only gets the sock in her mouth, never any little toes so Niko remains unharmed. I'm sure she was wondering why she got away with this a little longer than usual without being yelled at, but of course I had to get this on camera.

Posing with the pumpkins

After the baby reunion, we stopped at Wilson's Farm on the way home. We picked out a pumpkin and of course had to get a picture of Niko with the big pumpkins--some bigger than him! There were also big Halloween displays set up at the farm--here's a picture of some huge spiders made from hay. On the way, Niko posed with John by a really big pumpkin.

Baby reunion

Today Niko, John and I got together with the other couples who were in our childbirth class. Now that we all have outside babies, we figured it was time they got to meet each other. They were all born within 3 weeks of each other. Here they are all lined up on the couch, probably a little overwhelmed with all of the flashes going off. From left to right, the babies are Sebastian, Zeke, Jordyn and Niko--can you tell who wins the contest for the most hair?

Holding his own bottle!

In the last few weeks, Niko has been holding his own bottle, along with opening his mouth for the spoon and rolling over. He giggled for the first time a few weeks ago, but Grandma seems to be the only one that knows where the tickle button is. With all of these milestones, it's a reminder that he's growing so fast and isn't that tiny baby anymore.

Let's go Patriots!

With the Red Sox done for the season, Niko is all ready to cheer on the Patriots! Not only does he have the his Patriots outfit, he also has Larry the Lobster who has his own Patriots shirt. Hopefully the Pats will make it to the Superbowl again this year, and win this time!
