Naptime

Here's a picture of Lola getting in some naptime with John. They were both passed out and didn't move for about 3 hours!

Remembering Lola's puppy days

I took these pictures a few days ago and after I took them they reminded me alot of the pictures from when Lola was first learning to walk down the stairs. The only difference is she was about half the size! Hopefully I can find that picture and post it next.

Introducing Mya

Mya is Lola's new poodle cousin. She's only 8 weeks old and about the size of one Lola's dog toys. She's not too worried about whether or not Lola will share her treats because here she is moving right in-she probably figures that if its ok for Lola to clear out her puppy food, why not! Lola seems to like her (probably because she knows she can leave her at Grandma's) whereas Tia is taking a little longer to warm up.

Won't you share your Chinese food?

Here's Lola putting on her best please feed me face while John was eating dinner the other night. Unfortunately for Lola, Chinese food is not part of the diet - just 2 lbs to go!

Lola loves cookouts

A few weekends ago we had a cookout, and Lola very excited to see Tia and Cocoa at the same time. It was pretty hot out that day, so they played and then they'd take a break and then go for another round. They were moving pretty quick so it was hard to get a picture of all 3 but here's what I did catch.

What kind of ink does this printer take?

Here's the new printer that was bought for the office at my Mom's. Who knew that pug's were so talented that they could print, scan and copy!

While Fay's away, Cocoa comes to play

Cocoa will be joining us til Tuesday while her human lives it up in Miami. She didn't get here until late Thursday night, so this got Lola pretty excited. For the first hour, the two of them did laps from the kitchen to the couch . You would've thought they'd be wiped out, but at 2 am they were still wrestling on the bed. This resulted in Cocoa being caged with Lola sitting outside the cage making her cry. This morning, we spent some time outside where things were much calmer and then came inside where they both enjoyed the view from the couch.

ahhh, that cool tile floor

This is Lola after a two mile walk on Thursday (in an effort to lose weight and all). When we got home, she went straight to the water bowl and then laid down on the kitchen floor where she didn't move for quite some time.

Lola's 2!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Lola on her birthday on our walk down to Spy Pond. For some reason, I haven't been able to access Lola's blog so I'm long overdue for a post.

Auditioning for Swan Lake

Here's a picture of Lola in her new ballerina outfit, all ready to try out for the ballet. I think she's much more comfortable in her orange sweatshirt, but this didn't stop her from chasing Tia.

Lucky bamboo!

Last night when we were at Target, we were looking at the dog toys and decided it had been awhile since Lola had a new toy. We found a cute stuffed olive (I told John it was probably a Greek olive) but then I saw the bamboo and of course had to have that and I know that if Lola was there to choose, she would have gone with the bamboo too! Judging from the pictures, it looks like she's pretty happy!

Lola's territory

Coco came over with her human Fay the other night for dinner. Obviously, Lola was pretty excited for Coco's first visit to her house because she could make sure that no hind leg biting took place. That kind of behavior might take place at Coco's own house, but not here. Lola made sure Coco new who the boss was by pinning her down with just one paw. Judging by the way Coco rolled over and didn't move, I think she understood. After the rules were made known, the girls got along long enough to get some treats.

Bathtime

This was Lola's 3rd bath in as many days....with all the snow that was melting, she'd come home from her walks covered in sand and all wet. I think she stopped looking forward to going outside knowing she'd have to come home and get right in the tub, but at least she's a clean pug!

Take your daughter to work day (again)

Here's a picture of Lola on her throne...she actually prefers to be running around, but when someone who doesn't like dogs comes in, (apparently they haven't met Lola) Lola has to get up on the stool where she accepts that she has to sit here. This means that when the next customer comes in that will pet her, she follows them around the store begging to be pet one more time.

The sunny spot

Here's a picture of Lola at work with me on Monday when it was freezing cold outside. As soon as we got into the store, Lola found the warmest spot there was in the sun and lay there soaking it.

Lola and Cocoa

Tonight we took Lola to meet her new cousin, Cocoa. Cocoa is a yorkie and weighs only 2 lbs at 8 weeks old. She had lots of energy and like another little yorkie we know (Tia) she thought Lola's hind legs were the perfect chew toy.

Where did that pug go?

I took this picture after Lola spent the day playing with Tia. As usual, she was pretty wiped out when we got home and was more than happy to crawl under the covers. Even after I pulled them off of her, she mustered up just enough energy to go under them again, but didn't quite make it all the way.

Layered up

We're a little behind in our posts, but this picture is from a few weeks ago when we had our first real snow. Here's Lola all bundled up with her orange sweatshirt and pink corduroy jacket. She's probably glad we don't own any puggy snowboots.
